UNSA Faculty of Law and Konrad Adenauer Foundation organized a webinar "Freedom Of Expression In The 21st Century: Challenges And Perspectives"

A webinar "Freedom of Expression in the 21st Century: Challenges and Perspectives" was held on 28  April 2021, jointly organized by the UNSA Faculty of Law and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
 
The webinar was organized in two panels, with the first panel focusing on the deplatforming of Donald Trump, and various forms of abuse of free speech such as fake news and hate speech. The panelists of the first panel were Doz. Dr. Damir Banović from the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, Franjo Dragičević, legal advisor at the Constitutional Court of BiH, Tijana Cvjetićanin, fact-checking expert and part of the team Raskrinkavanje.ba and Istinomjer.ba and Nasir Muftić, assistant at the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, while the panel was moderated by Tahir Herenda, an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo.
 
The second panel focused on the position of online media, with special reference to the position of social networks. Speakers at this panel were Kristina Ćendić on behalf of the SHARE Foundation, Tahir Herenda, Maida Bahto-Kestendžić on behalf of the Press Council and Harun Išerić, assistant at the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo. This panel was moderated by Nasir Muftić.
 
The webinar attracted a lot of public attention, and over 80 participants were present in the audience. The audience consisted of students from the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo, but also employees from the governmental and non-governmental sector.
