Haris Salkić from Brčko is the first winner of the Sarajevo Business Forum Start-Up Challenge organized by BBI Bank in cooperation with Hayat Television and its partners.
A student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sarajevo and a representative of the robotics club of this higher education institution and member of the CGP design team received the best marks of the expert jury and became the first winner of the series in the competition of business ideas. The prize of 33,000 KM was provided by BBI Bank, TV Hayat, the Mozaik Foundation and RSG Radio.
“I plan to stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina and launch this company, continue to develop this product, and launch new projects in the company. I want this to become an example and motivation for young people to start their own businesses and stay in our country Bosnia and Herzegovina,” says Haris Salkić.
In his team was also his younger sister Samra, who presented the project of creating a robotic arm. He began dealing with robotics in the high school, and already at that time his projects won the several first places at state competitions.
“I started working on a new project a few months ago, i.e. a robotic hand HAS_One, which I personally designed and which is intended for practical training, trainings and presentations. With this, I was introduced to assistants at my college, and just one of them, Dr. Adis Muminović informed me about this competition and recommended me to apply. I signed up with the idea to set up HAS Robotics, which will deal with serial production of robotic arms for education purposes, the first of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina” says Salkić.
For participating in the competition, students or graduates from one of BH universities can apply, age up to 30. Filled in applications along with all accompanying documents for future shows should be sent to the email address:
