UN Simulation Model at the Faculty of Political Sciences Completed
On Tuesday, 11 December 2018, students of the second year of the undergraduate study of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Department of Political Science in the course of lectures and exercises on the Multilateral Diplomacy and International Organizations in cooperation with the United Nations Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHA UN) successfully completed the two-month simulation of the work of the United Nations Security Council.
Students were briefly addressed by Vice Dean for Teaching, Prof. Dr. Mirza Smajić, who spoke about his own experiences in the simulations of various international organizations, encouraged colleagues and wished them success.
Both sessions enabled students not only to get an insight into the work of an international organization, but also to master theoretical skills and practical application in the sphere of international relations. After intense debate, arguments, lobbying and negotiation, as the final product of the simulation, a Resolution on the general topic of the simulation dealing with "Peace and Security Issues in Syria" was adopted.
On behalf of the Faculty of Political Science, the subject Prof dr. Kenan Dautović together with assistant Jasmin Hasanović thank the United Nations Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHA UN), their representatives Mak Selimović and Ema Džejna Smolo, student of the Faculty of Political Science, who worked intensively with students on this very important project these days and weeks. , we hope, get and continue, as well as the Vice-Dean Prof. Dr. Mirza Smajić, and the head of the Department of Political Science, Prof. Dr. Elmir Sadiković.
