The Summer School “"Comparative Public Health - Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina” is a result of the cooperation among the Northwestern University, University of Belgrade and University of Sarajevo, which has been taking place since 2016. The program is an integral part of the offer of international study courses at the Northwestern University (NU)  IL, USA.  The Northwestern University is a private and respected university with developed similar programs worldwide, and with its quality, the Northwestern University occupies a high position in rankings e.g. at AWRU i.e. the so-called "Shanghai List it is 22nd  in the world). Within this program, which lasts a month in Belgrade and Sarajevo, American students are represented by the system and public health policy in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, as well as specific challenges in this field.
At the University of Sarajevo, the third generation of students is staying from July 22 to 19 August 2018, where they attend lectures at the Faculty of Medicine, with the participation of lecturers and the Faculty of Health Studies, Faculty of Philosophy and the Institute for the Treatment of Addictions to the Sarajevo Canton.
The program includes field activities and cultural excursions under expert guidance, through which foreign students learn about cultures, languages and societies in the region, local public health systems and a host of other topics. This school, as one of the important forms of strengthening the international cooperation of the University of Sarajevo, belongs to the activities of "internationalization at home", i.e. the implementation of an international project in order to improve the quality of teaching and research and the visibility of UNSA as a chosen partner of renowned foreign universities.
Opening of the Summer School will be held in the UNSA Ceremonial Hall, Obala Kulina Bana 7/II on Monday, 23, July 2018, starting at 9:30.
 

After this short program, students will be sent to the UNSA Faculty of Medicine for lectures.
