TRAIN plus - a public universities representatives meeting on the topic of academic staff professional training

In the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (CIS), University of Sarajevo from 6 to 7/12/2018, a second meeting of the Commission for developing a framework for the professional development of academic staff at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held. Commissioners are representatives of all public universities in BiH that have been appointed by the Rectors' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of developing the concept of permanent professional development of academic staff at BH universities, while respecting the expertise of each individual university. After years of experience and success in the implementation of the TRAIN Program, the University of Sarajevo took over the coordinated role in the process. On behalf of the University of Sarajevo, participants were greeted by Prof. Dr. Aida Hodžić, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs, highlighting the significance of the TRAIN Program for academic staff. In the continuation, she emphasized the evident support of the University of Sarajevo's management, as well as the support of the management structures of other public universities that focuses on the common goal of developing a framework for professional development of university teachers and associates. The topics of the meeting included analysis of results of mapping capacities of public universities, presentation of eight modules realized within the TRAIN Program at the University of Sarajevo, as well as possibilities for joint preparation of Erasmus+ application.
