The third exhibition in a row "From waste to value" - "Nodo" by Hana Pašić was opened
In the exhibition space "Box" on the plateau of the Importanne center (Sarajevo), the third exhibition "From waste to value" was opened. The final work "NODO" of Hana Pašić, a student of the Product Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Sarajevo, was exhibited. The exhibition will be displayed in the period July - August 2026.

Project description: The goal of this project is to stimulate thinking about textiles and show that with simple interventions it is possible to give new life to old material. Through various experiments with textiles and traditional handwork techniques, a new technique is developed, based on the simple tying of materials into knots that form a new, functional textile product.
The system is designed so that each piece of material can be used as part of a new whole, that is, as an individual way of recycling one's own textile waste.
Over time, the system develops in the direction of community building, and the technique itself is adapted so that more people can work on one project at the same time. Through this process, the construction of a rotating table with a sponge is created, which serves as a tool for fixing and moving textile strips. This system enables individual or group work in a sitting position, making the process easier, faster and more pleasant.
Nodo explores the beauty of recycled products and their ability to fit into our everyday lives, while offering a solution to the problem of old and discarded textiles.
Project "From waste to value":
The exhibition is the result of cooperation between the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Sarajevo and Sparkasse Bank, where young designers have the opportunity to present works created from discarded materials to the public through the "From Waste to Value" project in 2026.
The works presented in this exhibition were created as part of the teaching process at the Study of Product Design at ALU UNSA. The aim of the exhibition is to raise awareness of responsible waste management, reduction of environmental pollution and the importance of circular economy. The project is connected with the mission of the ReuseChain.ba platform created by the Mozaik Foundation with the support of Sparkasse Bank, which is the first digital platform in BiH that connects companies in the field of exchange, reuse and better management of secondary raw materials.
