Meeting between Minister Bošnjak and Rector Zaimović: A Focus on Higher Education and Research

The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, convened with the Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Professor Dr. Tarik Zaimović, to discuss pressing issues in the realms of science, higher education, research, and international cooperation.

During the discussions, the importance of ongoing support for the development of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina was underscored. Minister Bošnjak emphasized that the Ministry of Civil Affairs endorses all activities aimed at creating conditions to strengthen scientific research efforts and enhance international collaboration among domestic higher education institutions.

Rector Zaimović outlined the priorities of the University of Sarajevo, placing particular emphasis on bolstering academic mobility and improving research capacities. Additionally, the conversation addressed the challenges faced by universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the enhancement of conditions for young researchers and the need to increase competitiveness on an international scale.

It was concluded that the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the University of Sarajevo will continue their collaboration with the goal of advancing the quality of higher education and scientific research in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
