The Mayor of Sarajevo Honors Recipients of the City of Sarajevo Gold Medals

On 4 March, Sarajevo Mayor Predrag Puharić held a ceremonial reception at the City Hall for recipients of the highest honors: Gold Medals, Silver Medals, and Charters from the University of Sarajevo, as well as for the top students of the first and second cycles of study and integrated studies for the year 2024.

“Today, we celebrate the true best among us, individuals who demonstrate that education is not merely a pathway to personal success but also a powerful force capable of transforming society for the better,” emphasized Puharić, extending his congratulations on their remarkable achievements and presenting them with the City of Sarajevo Gold Medal as a recognition of their hard work and dedication.

He articulated that their role in our society extends beyond excelling in their respective fields; it encompasses the responsibility to contribute their knowledge, ideas, and passion towards the creation of a fairer and more progressive society.

“Your city and your homeland need you; they count on you. We are here to support you, to ensure that your talent is acknowledged not only today but also tomorrow, through opportunities, projects, and a vision of a city that grows alongside you,” conveyed the Mayor of Sarajevo, noting that this acknowledgment serves as an additional impetus in their continued academic and professional journeys, as well as in life.
