Jeffrey Sachs live at the Economic Forum 2019
The UNSA Faculty of Economics, together with the Economic Institute, is organizing the Economic Forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2019, which will be held on Monday, 25 February 2019, at the Holiday Hotel Congress Hall.
After the opening address of the Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Jasmina Selimović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina will open the Forum. Attendees will be addressed by the Special Representative and Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina Lars Gunnar Wigemark and University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj.
“Competitiveness of Bosnia and Herzegovina and countries in the region” will be the first topic of the panel discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Zlatko Lagumdžija. Through the video link, Prof. Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, Columbia University professor and advisor to the UN Secretary General. The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Mr. Fadil Novalić, the representative of the Foreign Investors Council of BiH, Mr. Branimir Muidža, Mr. Radovan Višković, and the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Mr. Vjekoslav Bevanda will take part in this panel.
The second panel discussion is on the topic "Economic Cooperation of Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina: Challenges and Chances" and will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Kemal Kozarić. Participants in this discussion will be Andreas Meindl, Trade Advisor at the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Sarajevo and Head of Advantage Austria Sarajevo, Hannes Mösenbacher Member of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank International AG, Michael Schickhofer Deputy Governor of the Styria Region and Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Prof. Dr. Rainer Hasenauer.
“Improvement of the Business Environment of Bosnia and Herzegovina” will be the last panel moderated by Prof. Dr. Jasmin Hošo, director of Wienerberger / Tondach Company in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Discussions within the last subject panel will be Nataša Pucar, Director of Corporate Communications of Bimal Brčko, Stjepan Kumrić, General Director of Cement Factory Lukavac, Sandra Suljić, Deputy Director for Human Resources, Administration and Logistics at Elin Motors Bosnia doo, dr. Robert Brugger, Director of Internationalisierungs Center Steiermark GmbH and Ante Odak, Management Board member for Corporate Operations of Raiffeisen Bank dd.
