Higher Representative for BiH, Mr. Valentin Inzko, visited the University of Sarajevo
Mr. Valentin Inzko, Higher Representative for BiH, visited the University of Sarajevo and exhibition “Concentration Camps, Places of Suffering of the Jews of Bosnia and Herzegovina” by Dr. Elijah Tauber on 28 January 2021.
Mr. Inzko visited the exhibition consisting of posters depicting Bosnia and Herzegovina. camps, camp buildings, deportation of Jews, laws that disenfranchise Jews, letters of hope and despair and many other horrors, with Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Tamara Karača Beljak, and the exhibition author, Dr. Eli Tauber, Cultural Adviser in the Jewish Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The exhibition “Concentration Camps, Places of Suffering of Jews of Bosnia and Herzegovina” was organized as commemoration of 27 January - Holocaust Remembrance Day, organized by the Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law, University of Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Jewish Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The visit was also an opportunity to discuss educational processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the development of science and investment in scientific research, and the activities of the University of Sarajevo marking 25 November - Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina when he spoke on the topic “Bosnia and Herzegovina today and tomorrow.”
