Hamad Bin Halifa University Delegation from Qatar Visits the University of Sarajevo

The day after the international panel "Contemporary Islamic Studies: Challenges and New Perspectives," organized through joint efforts of Hamad Bin Halifa University – Faculty of Islamic Studies and the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Islamic Sciences, the Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, received a formal visit from the delegations of these two Faculties, led by Deans Prof. Dr. Redžep Šenturko and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hasaniji.

They discussed future cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and Hamad Bin Halifa University from Doha, Qatar, as well as collaboration between the faculties of these universities—the Faculty of Islamic Studies and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences. The talks focused on their readiness to, as educational and socially responsible institutions, find a balance between traditional texts that underpin their educational work and the modern context by integrating historical knowledge with the needs of contemporary society.
