The first part of the Vocational Development Program for Chemistry Teachers realized at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, UNSA

As part of the Erasmus+ CBHE project Educating Science Teachers for All (ESTA), on 13 November 2021, the first part of the training for primary school chemistry teachers was realized. The training was attended by 18 teachers from Sarajevo Canton and Zenica-Doboj Canton. A total of nine hours of training in the field of chemistry in education and intercultural education were realized. The training consisted of lectures, workshops and laboratory work, and was realized in the premises of the low building of the at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, UNSA (large computer center and practicum 120).

The next part of the training for this group of participants is planned for 11 December 2021.

During the training, equipment procured as part of the project was used, which includes modern laboratory sensors, tablet devices, a “smart” board and various mobile applications applicable in science teaching. New teaching methods, group and individual work were applied, with an emphasis on sensitizing teachers to student differences, and on respecting diversity in the classroom.
