ETH Zurich and University of Sarajevo Cooperation Intensified

The intensification of cooperation between the Swiss State Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) and the University of Sarajevo was a reason for a meeting in a UNSA Rectorate on Tuesday, 30 October 2018. The meeting was attended by ETH Zurich representatives: Prof. Hubert Klumpner with his associates, Swiss Embassy in BiH representatives, SECO Swiss government representatives and Matica BiH in Switzerland. Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj with Vice-Rectors: Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić and Prof. Dr. Maida Čohodar Husić greeted the guests. On behalf of the Faculty of Architecture, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Adnan Pašić with associates.
During the meeting, the possibilities of academic cooperation through the exchange of researchers and students, and the development of the Urban Transformation Sarajevo project were discussed. It was concluded that this project is a unique opportunity for the Faculty of Architecture to cooperate with the ETH Zurich on a specific project, as well as the possibilities of cooperation for other UNSA organizational units due to the project’s multidisciplinary nature. In this way it will be possible to connect different institutions from Sarajevo with ETH Zurich and the Swiss Embassy, which will result in the realization of a concrete architectural project that will contribute to the quality of life of our citizens. Considering the possibility of developing long-term cooperation, it was emphasized that at the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Architecture, a workshop and seminars will be held in the next semester on the topic of the University of Sarajevo Campus.
