Cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the Bosniak National Council in the Republic of Serbia
The Bosniak National Council in the Republic of Serbia delegation, composed of Dr. Jasmina Baltić Curić, President, Mirza Hajdinović, Secretary, and Esma Bruncevic, Expert Associate, visited the University of Sarajevo on 23 December 2019, where she met with Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj and Mr. Sc. Nadina Grebović-Lendo, Head of the Library of the Faculty of Philosophy and coordinator of the Library of the University of Sarajevo.
More than seven years ago, the Bosniak National Council in the Republic of Serbia initiated the introduction of all Bosnian-language teaching into the education system of the Republic of Serbia. The Bosniak National Council is making great efforts to improve the quality of Bosnian language teaching at Sandžak schools, and with the aim of improving Bosnian language and literature teaching, has also developed a project for the acquisition of proofreading for primary and secondary schools.
During the meeting, other possible forms of cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the Bosniak National Council in the Republic of Serbia were discussed, and special attention paid to the cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the State University of Novi Pazar and the launching of Bosnian language studies within this cooperation would complete the overall educational process in the Bosnian language.
