The University of Sarajevo is ranked among 5.1% of the best universities in the world according to the Webometrics ranking
In the January edition of the Webometrics ranking, the University of Sarajevo is located on the 1593rd place in the world list in the ranking of more than 31 thousand universities that were screened according to three criteria: influence, openness and excellence, which places it in the first 5.1% of all universities in to this list.
When it comes to ranking for Europe, the University of Sarajevo is in 599th place out of a total of 6037 ranked universities. The ranking for the region of Central-Eastern Europe shows that the University of Sarajevo is in 97th place out of 2758 universities.
In July 2022, the University of Sarajevo was positioned on the 1713th place, and a shift of 120 places in the ranking represents significant progress, which is the result of the efforts made by the management of the University of Sarajevo with its academic staff and professional non-teaching staff headed by Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, but also in synergy with the faculties, academies, institutes and centres of the University.
The University of Sarajevo will continue to work at full capacity in order to continue developing as a more successful, efficient and transparent institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
