European Criminological Association Annual Conference
The University of Sarajevo Faculty of Criminology and Security Studies organizes the 18th annual conference “Crimes against Humans and Crimes against Humanity: Implications for Modern Criminology” of the European Society of Criminology, the second largest criminology event in the world.
The conference will be held from 29 August to 1 September 2018 at the UNSA Campus.
The conference is expected to be attended by around 1,500 participants from over 70 countries. Also at the conference will come representatives of the largest publishing houses, such as Oxford University Press, Springer, Rutledge and many other who pay special attention to the latest editions and scientific achievements in areas studying unlawful behaviors, offenses and the reaction of society to such behaviors.
The conference will be implemented through four plenary sessions and over 300 parallel sessions over a four days period. The topics to be covered include numerous issues, from daily crime (property, etc.), through organized crime, to the toughest forms of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Within these themes, the questions and the influence of various biological, psychological and sociological factors are addressed, which lead to a person entering into unlawful behaviors.
