Palmera d'or Award for Faruk Lončarević, full professor at the UNSA Academy of Performing Arts
A BH film TAKO DA NE OSTANE ŽIVA by Faruk Lončarević, a full professor at the Academy of Performing Arts, University of Sarajevo, was named the best film and won the Palmera d'or (Golden Palm) at the Mostra de Valencia, a prestigious Mediterranean film festival time held for the 36th time.
An international jury composed of eminent European film artists cited the reasons as that “the film seeks an active viewer's view and suggests reflection on a society that has not recovered from the violence of the past and is therefore doomed to repeat it over and over again.”
The film premiered at the Trieste Film Festival this year, where it was awarded, and subsequently at numerous festivals, including the Sarajevo Film Festival. Numerous associates and alumni of the Academy of Performing Arts, University of Sarajevo take part in the film.
