The new edition of the Creative Workshops Cycle Let's Share Knowledge 2020 Begins
The finale of this year's edition of the Creative Workshops Cycle Let's Share Knowledge 2020 will be held from 14 to 18 December 2020 and organized by the Music Academy, University of Sarajevo (MAS). Despite the challenges this year has brought us, determined that the path of knowledge and exchange of ideas will overcome the new obstacles, the Department of Music Theory and Pedagogy, in cooperation with the Department of Piano, Harp, Percussion and Related Instruments and the Center for Music Education, has prepared a series of workshops in the form of a cycle of webinars, through the Microsoft Teams platform, to present invitational lectures, a piano masterclass, a student forum, and a theoretical-concert presentation of interdisciplinary scientific and artistic research. These activities were designed and combined with the project "Development of competencies of music students and the implementation of lifelong learning systems in music education through the Cycle of creative workshops Let's share knowledge", which is 2019/20 supported and financially supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, recognizing it as a project of special importance.
The basic idea of the project started in year 2016/17 was to encourage music students to creative (musical) thinking and offer them a space where they can act independently or in collaboration with colleagues, acquire and expand their knowledge of music, linking them to related areas and observing them from different aspects. Since the first edition of the project in May 2017, when it was conducted in the form of a creative student workshop, through its four editions it has grown into a cycle of workshops in several program-designed frameworks, and this week enters its grand finale. Namely, in the previous period, within the program Share knowledge - MAS students as guests, students of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo visited international student forums in the countries of the region (R Serbia, R Croatia), and exchanged their knowledge about music with high school music students in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they traveled together with their professors (Mostar, Zenica and Bihać). Alumnus of the Music Academy, successful guitarist and professor at the Sarajevo High School of Music, M.Sc. Boško Jović was a guest within the workshop Let's Share Knowledge - Alumni Edition. The program Share knowledge 2019/20 - From another perspective, it enabled us to cooperate with leading experts in the field of pedagogy, andragogy, sociology, graphic design and photography: only in the previous academic year, their rich knowledge and experience with our students shared Prof. Mr. Sc. Bojan Hadžihalilović (Academy of Fine Arts UNSA), who reminded us of the importance of the culture of memory with the topic Greetings from Sarajevo 1993 in the Gallery 11/07/95, and Prof. Mr. Sc. Damir Šagolj (UNSA Academy of Performing Arts), whose theme Composition, Principles and Deconstruction inspired and further strengthened our belief that it is art that opens our eyes, shows the right path and is able to change the society in which we live.
This week, as the central event of the project, brings the International Creative Student Workshop Share Knowledge 2020, which will enable online meeting of students from Montenegro, the Republic of Serbia, the United Kingdom and Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 17 and 18, 2020, within which students will present their thoughts on the theoretical, pedagogical and performing aspects of music. In addition, they will organize a Round Table, where they will discuss the challenges and experiences of the “new normalcy” in the context of the music profession during the pandemic.
The new edition of the already mentioned workshop Let's share knowledge - Alumni Edition will be led by musicologist Dr. Esma Cerkovnik, a young scientist who, after completing her master's degree at the Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology, MAS, successfully completed her doctoral research at the University of Zurich, where she is currently employed as an assistant to Prof. Dr. Laurenz Lütteken at the UZH Institute of Musicology. On December 18, 2020, at 1:30 PM, Cerkovnik will hold a thematic lecture “... et nos immutabimur” - Music and conversion in Rome in the first half of the 17th century. This event will be moderated by musicologist Prof. Dr. Fatima Hadžić, and the Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology MAS and the Musicological Society of FBiH joined the mentioned organizational team in the realization of this event.
The surprise of this year's edition is the program framework Let's share knowledge 2020 - Piano Edition, within which on 15 and 16 December 2020 we will have the opportunity to attend the master class of the most prominent Serbian pianist of his generation, Prof. Mr. Sc.
