Guest lectures at the Department of Dramaturgy, Academy of Performing Arts
These days, the Academy of Performing Arts, University of Sarajevo is organizing a series of guest online lectures with domestic and foreign experts in the field of performing arts. We are at the Department of Dramaturgy on Monday, 7 December 2020.students of the second cycle of MA studies of the Department of Dramaturgy of ASU, within the teaching of the subject Lexicon of Dramaturgy, had the opportunity to hear a guest lecture by Doz. Dr. sc. Tine Laco. The topic of the lecture was a historical overview of the development of theater in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with special reference to the development of dramatic texts and theater criticism.
Dr. Sc. Tina Laco is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Mostar. After completing her studies in Dramatic Arts - Acting at the University "Džemal Bijedić", she received her PhD from the Postgraduate Doctoral Study of Literature, Performing Arts, Film and Culture at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb. The topic of her doctoral dissertation and research was Bosnian theatrical studies after the Second World War. In addition to MA students, the lecture was attended by third-year BA students, as well as members of the teaching staff of the Department of Dramaturgy. Moderator of the conversation after the lecture, Doz. Zoran Mlinarević, otherwise head of the dramaturgy department.
The next interview will be held on Tuesday, 15 December 2020. Mirza Skenderagić graduated in dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts, and in journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo. His documentary I CAN SPEAK won the Golden Apple at the 13th Bosnia and Herzegovina Film Festival in New York, and recognition at the 2016 Human Rights Film Festival. He is an award-winning playwright, and is actively involved in film and theater criticism. He is an employee of the Drama and Documentary Program of BH Radio 1. Before the interview, which will be held online to meet epidemiological measures and additional caution, students will have the opportunity to watch the film I CAN SPEAK.
The focus of the conversation, which will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Elma Tataragić and Ass. Bojana Vidosavljević will be on the production and production of the award-winning Skenderagić film. The script for this film was written and developed by Skenderagić in the study of the Department of Dramaturgy, as the main exercise in the course Scenario V. What does the path look like from the birth of the idea for a documentary to a successfully developed script for student exercise at the Academy realizes its full potential as a successful documentary, are certainly questions that interest students who are just now, on the subject of Scenario V, writing their first screenplays for short documentaries.
