Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies and the Association of Criminologists and Security Managers Signed

University of Sarajevo Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies Dean, Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ahić and Association of Criminologists and Security Managers President Mirela Mujović signed the Agreement on Scientific, Educational and Professional Cooperation on 19 November 2020.

The Agreement signing was arranged during the official visit of the Association management to its home Faculty after which a working meeting was held. During the meeting directions of future joint activities were defined. Dean Ahić on this occasion emphasized his personal and commitment to more intensive cooperation with the Alumni Association - Association of Criminologists and Security Managers, which is contained in his Dean's Work Program for the 2020-2024 term. The primary motive for improving cooperation is the common interest of better and more concrete positioning of graduates of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies on the labor market, primarily in law enforcement agencies, but also in other sectors. Dean Ahić also pointed out that by the end of the calendar year, an ALUMNI HUB will be established at the Faculty, a space in which alumni will be able to stay, work and develop ideas for the purpose of promoting the Faculty and their more intensive networking and generating joint activities in the field of the profession affirmation.

The Association President, Mirela Mujović, emphasized the importance of the final institutionalization and formalization of cooperation between the Association and the Faculty, emphasizing that the agreement has already resulted in concrete activities and expressed hope that this is just the beginning of numerous partnership activities in the future.

This Agreement opens the possibility of joint organization of scientific research activities, conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, as well as joint efforts to secure funding from external sources. Also, the agreement includes the development of joint research projects and training programs for academic and professional staff, the promotion of individual contacts between academic and professional staff, as well as the exchange of academic and professional staff in regular and special educational processes.
