The fourth Jasmin Džindo Memorial Held
On 20 October 20, in the large amphitheater of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo the fourth Jasmin Džindo Memorial was held. Giving an introductory speech at this gathering, the president of FDT Prof. Dr. Samir Arnautović reminded of the importance of the work of Jasmin Džindo, vice president of the FDT. He emphasized that the significance of the work of Professor Džindo, in addition to the recognition of the City of Sarajevo, is also witnessed by this summer's international scientific gathering of Italians, which was dedicated to Jasmin Džindo.
On behalf of the City of Sarajevo and the Municipality of Centar, Mr. Nuko Grebović, Councilor of the Municipal Council of Centar and the City Council of Sarajevo, addressed the gathering. Grebović pointed out that the work of Jasmin Džindo has become known and significant not only for the scientific community, but also for our society in general. In that sense, Mr. Grebović pointed out his further unquestionable support of the FDT, which with its work testifies to the serious scientific results achieved in the field of humanities and spiritual sciences in BiH.
On behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Vice Dean Amir Duranović addressed the gathering, who spoke about the scientific reference of Jasmin Džindo and the contribution he made in the development of the Faculty of Philosophy and scientific opinion in BiH.
The largest part of the Memorial was determined by the presentation of colleague Šejla Avdić, who pointed out the importance of Italian philosophers in the development of the European Community with a paper on "Bruno's conception of the multitude of worlds". The official part of the Memorial continued in open discussions that took place during a cocktail party at the Kulin Dvor restaurant. This year's Memorial was held in strict compliance with epidemiological measures, including a limited number of participants.
The conclusion of the fourth Jasmin Džindo Memorial in the organizational sense is summarized in the position that the next Memorials will be filled with papers on Italian philosophers.
The event was assessed as a scientific event of high academic level and undoubted contribution to the promotion of science and culture in BiH.
