The Gazi Husrev-bey’s Library and the University of Sarajevo organize the “First International Conference on the Preserving of Written Heritage”, which aims to promote Bosnia and Herzegovina's cultural and historical heritage.

Renowned experts from many countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Turkey, India, Malaysia will participate and present papers in the conference.

The Conference’s program has outlined two days activities. The first day includes the following activities: registration of participants, a tour of the Gazi Husrev-bey’s Library and other related institutions in Sarajevo, the ceremonial Conference opening with introductory addressed to be delivered by the guests, accompanied by a screening of a documentary on the Gazi Husrev-bey’s Library.

For the second day, the presentations along with the Q&A sessions, consideration of the possibilities and potential cooperation between BH and institutions from other countries in the field of preserving written heritage have been planned.
