The CS Government with the Academic Community Delegation: Launching the Campus Planning

The meeting of the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto and the ministers of the Cantonal Government with the academic community delegation led by University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj was a chance to discuss the current issues of the University's work and problems.
The new collective agreement and financial integration of the University at the Treasury of the KS provided greater and regular wages of the academic community, which can now be measured against the salaries of their peers in more developed countries.
“After 15 years, with the support of this Government and the Canton Assembly we managed to raise our plates. Also of great importance to us are the activities that the Government is undertaking about the design of the campus, the final solution of its heating, announcements of the near construction of the Library. Moving to the treasury has facilitated our financial business, although some legal and financial issues are still open and I believe that we will jointly find answers to them,” said Rector Škrijelj.
The Campus Space should be put into urban frameworks, planned to design and jointly reach the optimal solutions for its full capacity functioning in accordance with the needs of the academic community, one of the conclusions from this meeting.
Minister for Education, Science and Youth Zineta Bogunić announced that the long-awaited standards and regulations for the area of higher education will soon be in front of the Government of the Canton:
“This document will provide answers to many questions, in staff, professional and financial terms. Financial resources, which will be saved through their implementation, will focus on teaching processes at colleges where there is a lack” said Minister Bogunić.
