Italian Ambassador Nicola Minasi visited the Sarajevo Graphics Group

Ambassador of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina Nicola Minasi visited the Sarajevo Graphics Group's research laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. Head of Laboratory Prof. Dr. Selma Rizvić met the Ambassador introduced him with the laboratory activities and presented the work on the H2020 project iMARECULTURE, as well as the projects of the Virtual Jump from the Old Bridge and a project that is in progress, a virtual presentation of passing through the Sarajevo War Tunnel. 
Ambassador Minasi was particularly interested in the VR digital story of the Italian city of Baia, which at the time of the Roman Empire was a luxury resort of the Emperor and rich aristocrats. Now it is 7 meters below sea and it can only be visited by divers. Impressed by the potential of virtuous realism in achieving users' immersion into virtual environments, Ambassador considered with Prof. Rizvić the possibilities of organizing public presentations of these applications, as well as cooperation in future projects of researchers from the University of Sarajevo.
