The signed Protocol is the result of a previously expressed mutual interest in establishing long-term academic and artistic cooperation. It opens opportunities for student and staff exchanges, the implementation of joint projects, and the development of educational and artistic initiatives. It also provides a foundation for developing new forms of cooperation in the field of artistic education.
During the meeting at the Rectorate, the parties also discussed the possibility of signing an academic cooperation agreement between Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul and the University of Sarajevo, with a particular focus on the fields of art, education, and artistic research, including the establishment of new joint study programmes. Such an agreement would enable the expansion of existing cooperation across various academic and artistic fields, as well as the creation of new opportunities for students, teaching staff, and researchers.
