Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the Academy of Music UNSA, Amila Ramović, participates in SEPIE conference in Vigo
Prof. Dr. Amila Ramović, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the Academy of Music, University of Sarajevo, took part in the conference of Spain’s national Erasmus+ agency, dedicated to the international dimension of the Erasmus+ programme in higher education, held on 25 and 26 June 2026 in the Spanish city of Vigo.
The event, which brought together around 140 leading experts and coordinators from across Spain, was organised by the Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education (SEPIE) – the national Erasmus+ agency – in cooperation with the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo (Vigo Higher Conservatory of Music). This year’s gathering focused on the monitoring and management of mobility projects with countries associated with the programme (non-EU), funded through the European Union’s external action instruments.
Prof. Dr. Ramović’s participation in this event is of particular importance, especially in light of the official data presented by SEPIE. According to these figures, within the relevant call for projects, Bosnia and Herzegovina ranked second highest among Erasmus+ partner countries outside the European Union, accounting for as much as 8% of all approved mobilities – just behind Albania (9%) and ahead of the United States, Montenegro, and Georgia. It is especially noteworthy that, over the past decade, the Academy of Music UNSA has carried out as many as 90 mobilities in both directions with its partner institution, the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo.
In addition to participating in a thematic round table, Vice-Dean Ramović used her stay in Vigo to strengthen ties with partner institutions and agree on new forms of cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme. This once again confirms the Academy of Music UNSA’s strategic commitment to intensive internationalisation and to opening new opportunities for its students and staff to engage on the international academic music scene.
