The University of Sarajevo Awarded Prizes for the Greatest Scientific and Artistic Achievements in 2024

At the ceremonial session of the Library and Information System Committee, held on December 26, 2025, the award was presented to Dr. Sci. Edite Spahić, head of the University of Sarajevo Library – Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, for her exceptional contribution to the development, improvement, promotion, and affirmation of library and information activities in 2025.

By awarding the best librarian, the University of Sarajevo emphasizes the significant role of librarians in the teaching, scientific process, and research work.

The award was presented by Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs of the University of Sarajevo. On behalf of the Library and Information System Committee, addressed was Assist. Prof. Dr. Džejla Khattab, Chair of the Committee and Chair of the Librarians' Awarding Commission for 2025.

The Library and Information System Committee, upon the proposal of the Librarians' Awarding Commission of the University of Sarajevo and in accordance with the provision of Article 5, Paragraph (5) of the Rules on Librarians' Awards of the University of Sarajevo, has determined and submitted to the Senate a proposal for the librarians' award.
