International Summer School "Women, Peace and Security" in Sarajevo

Fifty young people from BiH, the region and the world will learn, work and exchange experiences on the #WPS and #YPS agenda together with the expert assistance of 19 lecturers.
In their introductory speeches, the participants were welcomed by:
- Prof. Jasmin Ahić, Dean of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies,
- Prof. Naris Pojskić, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Research at the University of Sarajevo,
- Julian Reilly, British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina British Embassy Sarajevo,
- Arnhild Spence, Resident Coordinator at the United Nations in BiH.
After inspiring welcome messages, the program continued with lectures, discussions and socializing in a great atmosphere. The summer school is organized by the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo in partnership with the United Nations in BiH and the United Nations Albania within the framework of the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) through:
- the #WomenLeadBiH initiative, jointly implemented by UN Women Bosnia and Herzegovina, UNFPA Bosnia and Herzegovina and IOM Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH.
- the regional youth program #Y4IET implemented by agencies, led by UNDP Serbia in partnership with UN Women Albania.
