University of Sarajevo promotes 5246 BA and MA graduates on Saturday
On the occasion of the BA and MA Graduates Promotion Ceremony at the University of Sarajevo, a press conference was held in the UNSA Rectorate attended by Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Rector, Vice-Rectors Prof. Drs. Aida Hodžić,. Aleksandra Nikolić, Elvir Čizmić, Maida Čohodar Husić, Prof. Sanja Burić and Mrs. Rjana Jusufbegović, Student vice-rector. The best first cycle students studies in 2018 Abdulah Jašarević and Demir Papić, both from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics with 10.00 average grade also attended conference.
The BA and MA Graduates Promotion Ceremony at the University of Sarajevo will be held at the Zetra-Juan Antonio Samaranch Olympic Hall in Sarajevo, on Saturday, 1 December 2018, 11:00. At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, UNSA Rector, Vice-Rectors and Faculties/Academies Deans are going to promote 5246 BA and MA graduates from the University of Sarajevo.
Stressing that in December the University of Sarajevo marks its 69th Anniversary, Rector Škrijelj pointed out that this year's promotion continues its celebration of the UNSA December Days. “University Days will be marked by a series of events that we start with the ceremonial promotion of BA and MA graduates. This year’s promotion sends a message that in its full capacity with its students the University of Sarajevo justifies its role in the society and will present this year to Bosnia and Herzegovina over 5200 students with diplomas of the first and second cycle of studies.”
Vice-Rector Hodžić emphasized that all graduates from the first, second and integrated first and second cycles will receive diplomas at the ceremony in the Olympic Hall and University of Sarajevo special awards: Golden Badge, Silver Badge and the Charter of the University of Sarajevo.
“The 181 most successful students of the first and second and the integrated cycles of studies, of which we are extremely proud, will receive special acknowledgments. 55 Golden, 116 Silver Badges and 10 Charters of the University will be awarded” said Vice Rector Hodžić.
The best students of the first cycle of studies in 2018 are Abdulah Jašarević and Demir Papić, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics with 10.00 average grade, and the best student of the second cycle of studies with an average grade 9.98 is Harun Išerić Faculty of Law.
Abdulah Jašarević and Demir Papić pointed out that being the best student at the University is a confirmation of their work and a reward for hard work, and that this will certainly make it easier for them to get to work.
Rector Škrijelj emphasized that any promotion, even this, would not be successful and complete without friends who supported such events.
