First LNSS Pilot Training Held
Within a CBHE project Library Network Support Services: Modernizing Libraries in Western Balkan Countries through Staff Development and Reforming Library Services (LNSS), the first LNSS pilot training was held in the UNSA Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Sarajevo on 18 December 2017. The training’s goals were:
- The LNSS project presentation to university librarians,
- Presentation of 8 LNSS curriculum modules and pilot training from the folowing modules: Marketing skills in librarianship, Basic managerial and transferable skills for librarians, Information Literacy and Search Skills and Access to Libraries for Disabled People
- Selected modules trainings evaluation by trainees
University of Sarajevo Vice-Rector for Quality, Prof. Dr. Maida Čohodar-Husić addressed the participants and expressed her satisfaction that the University of Sarajevo was a partner in the LNSS project implementation, in which numerous and different activities such as National Library Awareness Day have already been held. The training was attended by high school librarians and student librarians. The next LNSS training will be held on 6 February 2018 for from primary and secondary schools librarians.
