“Musica ad hominem” Association announces: Today “3, 2, 1”, tomorrow “Grand Pause”
As part of its artistic production, the association "Musica ad hominem", under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, and with the support of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo, performs two different music events on December 17 and 18 in the Hall of the BiH Armed Forces.
The association “Musica ad hominem” originated from the eponymous family ensemble of the Smailović family, and began operating back in 1968. Four children of the famous B&H played in the ensemble of composer Avdo Smailović. As in the past, the ensemble, as well as today’s association “Musica ad hominem,” aims to bring music closer to people through various types of activities, and these musical events are just one of them.
The first music event was held in the year marking the 250th anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest composers of all time, Ludwig van Beethoven. A concert with the significant title “3, 2, 1”, which will perform works in the forms of trio, duo and solo interpretation of Beethoven's sonata forms, will be held today,17 December at 19:00.
To all who are informed, but also to those who are not, these concerts organized by the association “Musica ad hominem” represent the shadow of one of the most successful festivals in the field of music art in the region, the festival “Music on a string.” We would like to mention that the time in which we are all equally exposed to the risks of general existence, encouraged artists as well as the creator of this project, maestro Violeta Smajlović-Huart, to put art in front of them and imagine this time as a grand break, a moment we will want to remember.
That thought created the idea of another musical event, a concert with the same title GRANDE PAUSE, which will remind the audience on Friday, 18 December at 19:00.
Given that the current epidemiological situation does not allow gatherings of more than thirty people indoors, only a small number of artists, admirers and patrons of art, in compliance with mandatory measures, will have the opportunity to attend the announced musical events live. Precisely because of that, the association “Musica ad hominem” is preparing a video that will make the achievements of top musicians available to the widest audience.
