Purpose:
This Summer School aims to investigate the complex examination of sexual desire in literature and its significant cultural ramifications. This curriculum is unique because of its creative methodology, which skillfully combines literary tourism with digital humanities. By breaking from established scholarly frameworks, we hope to introduce participants to new approaches that cut over traditional lines and open up new directions for studying, conception, promotion, imagining, and popularizing literature.
This program, which is mostly located in the prestigious Faculty of Arts buildings in the energetic city of Ljubljana, provides participants with an engaging fusion of academic discourse and real-world interaction. The Summer School’s main focus will be reflected in two engrossing field trips to Nova Gorica and Celje, which will offer real-world links to the literary ideas being discussed.
Participants will be able to investigate state-of-the-art research instruments and approaches through our special track on digital humanities, which will equip them to evaluate and comprehend literature in the digital era. Participants will gain new insights into literature’s depictions of desire by utilizing technology, which will deepen their comprehension of this intricate subject.
In addition, our literary tourism track creates links between the written word and real-world settings, historical sites, and narratives by giving participants the chance to go on engrossing literary experiences. This pragmatic method makes reading literature come to life by making it a tangible, engaging experience.
The attendees will be split into two groups, one dedicated to literary tourism and the other to digital humanities. Participants will join together for shared experiences in addition to track-specific activities, creating a dynamic interchange of ideas and insights that enhances the learning process for all parties.
Join us for a transformative Summer School experience that goes across academic borders, providing a comprehensive examination of sexual desire in literature and its deep cultural significance.
