Prijem za dr. Maju Arslanagić-Kalajdžić, dobitnicu nagrade Danubius Young Scientist Award

On Monday, 5 November 2018, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, University of Sarajevo Rector hosted a successful young scientist Dr. Maja Arslanagić-Kalajdžić, Assistant Professor, UNSA Faculty of Economics - winner of this year's Danubius Young Scientist Award for the best young scientist from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The admission was attended by Academician Dr. Dejan Milošević, UNSA Science Council Chair, Vice-Rectors: Prof. Drs. Dženana Husremović, Aida Hodžić, Elvir Čizmić, and Mr. Nina Begović, Department for Scientific Research at the University Head.
In congratulating to Dr. Arslanagić-Kalajdžić  on outstanding results achieved in 2018, Rector Škrijelj expressed the support of the University of Sarajevo to young scientists who achieved remarkable results, and stressed that the pride of academic community of their results.
The Danubius Young Scientist Award is awarded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research of Austria together with the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe with the aim of giving recognition to scientists and scientists who achieve outstanding results in their research activities.
This is the second prize for a young scientist from the Danube Region that goes to the University of Sarajevo. The winner of the Danubius Young Scientist Award for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016 was Dr. Tanja Dujić, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo.
During the meeting it was emphasized that the successes achieved by University of Sarajevo young scientists are also the successes of the University, and that they are exceptional young talents, who achieve excellent results and are the best ambassadors in the world of science.
Candidates for the Danubius Prize can be researchers from all disciplines, and they are proposed by individual universities. The aim of the award is to highlight the scientific work and talent of young researchers and to increase the visibility of the scientific community in the region.
