GEOBIZ project kick-off meeting

The kick-off meeting of GEOBIZ project (Business-driven problem-based learning for academic excellence in geoinformatics) was held in the building of the Rectorate of the University of Zagreb on 04.02.2020. The project coordinator is the Faculty of Geodesy, the University of Zagreb with prof. dr. Željko Bačić at the helm. 
Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo, headed by coordinator prof. dr. Medžida Mulić is a representative of the University of Sarajevo in this project.
A welcome speech was given by Rector of the University of Zagreb, prof. dr Damir Boras, Representative of the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs Antonija Gladović and Dean of the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb prof. dr. Almin Đapo.
After that, a working part of the introduction to the GEOBIZ project assignment was held. The importance of the project for improving the cooperation between the academic and business sectors was emphasized. The focus is on adequately educating students according to the needs of the economy.

The third part of the Kick-off meeting included the presentation of partners in the GEOBIZ project. The project coordinator prof. Dr. Medžida Mulić from the Department of Geodesy presented the project team of the University of Sarajevo: ass. prof. dr. Suada Džebo in front of the Traffic Department, prof. dr. Emina Hadžić in front of the Department of Hydrotechnics and Environmental Engineering, and ass. prof. dr. Džanina Omićević from the Department of Geodesy.
