Between 28 October and 1 November 2019, Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences faculty members visited Berlin on a study visit, which is an integral part of the Erasmus+ project Western Balkan Urban Agriculture Initiative - BUGI. As part of the visit, staff had the opportunity to stay at a farm that produces herbs in the aquaponics system. This is ECF Farm and Mint Engineering, a company engaged in modern microalgae farming systems. During this visit, the staff also attended a lecture by Dr. Beatrice Walthall, who is a member of the Food Council Berlin of Berlin, and visited several gardens that exemplify urban agriculture in Berlin (Prinzessinnengarten).
