The fifth concert of this year's “May Music Festival” took place in the sign of chamber music
The fifth concert of this year's "May Music Festival", which was held on 1 June 2021, in the Concert Hall "Cvjetko Rihtman" (Sarajevo Music High School Hall), was marked by chamber music. On that occasion, teachers, associates and students of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo performed together.
The first part of the repertoire included a performance of the "Paris Quartet" no. 6 in E minor by the German composer Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767), created at the zenith of the Baroque as one of the twelve chamber compositions from the cycle divided into two parts. It was written for flute, violin, viola da gamba (or cello) and basso continuo, and on this occasion it was performed by: Mirna Mlikota-Dizdarević (flute), Alma Dizdar (violin), Belma Alić (cello), Selma Hrenovica (cello) ) and Miron Konjević (harpsichord). The program also included the Piano Trio Op. 8, no. 1 in H major by Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) in a joint interpretation by Tamara Arsovski (violin), Belma Alić (cello) and Dženana Hadžić (piano).
According to epidemiological measures and orders of the competent institutions, the number of visitors was limited. The interested audience, who did not attend this event due to the mentioned restrictions, can watch the recording of the concert on the official YouTube channel of the MAS Concert Season.
