“Arts: Social Significance and Engagement” Round table Held
A roundtable “Arts: Social Significance and Engagement” was held at the Obala Open Stage on Wednesday, 20 November 2019 and was organized as part of a roundtable series “Higher Education, Social Needs and the (Labor) Market.”
About the transformative role of art in the future of education spoke Part time Prof. Ermin Bravo, and the presentation on the topic “Culture and Art as Social and Personal Identity” was held by. Doz. Dr. Amila Ramović.
“Innovation in the study process and opening up new perspectives for educational institutions” was the topic of Prof. Mr. Sc. Bojan Hadžihalilović’s presentation, and part time Prof. Dino Mustafić spoke about the importance of engaged arts for society. After the presentation, an open discussion developed that deepened the open topics.
This year, the University of Sarajevo marks its 70 anniversary and 15 anniversary of applying the Bologna study concept. This significant anniversary of the oldest and largest higher education institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina is marked by a series of events and activities, including the organization of round tables, academic meetings and workshops.
The roundtable series was organized to open up serious discussions about the scope and modality of the link between the higher education system and the labor market. This problem has been identified in various analyzes, and to solve it the University of Sarajevo takes significant steps through cooperation with around two hundred social community entities - the Chambers of Commerce of the Cantons of Sarajevo and FBiH, the Employment Service of the Cantons of Sarajevo, the Employers Association of the Cantons of Sarajevo and numerous to other business organizations and associations.
