Introduction to Police Practice: Presentation on the Work and Activities of the Police Support Sector for UNSA Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology, and Security Studies Students

On 10 January 2025, University of Sarajevo Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology, and Security Studies second-year students had the opportunity to visit the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton and the Sector for Police Support. This educational visit was organized by Senior Assistant Dr. Kenan Hodžić as part of the course Professional Practice 3. This exceedingly successful visit provided students with a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with the organization and operations of a key sector within the police system, which plays a vital role in maintaining public order and safety.

During the visit, students gained comprehensive insights into the diverse activities of the Sector for Police Support, including their operational tasks, the application of specialized skills, and collaboration with other security agencies. Special attention was drawn to the presentation by Mr. Vedad Musić from the Department of Education, who delivered an informative lecture on the structure and functions of the Police Administration, as well as the challenges encountered in daily operations.
