The commemorative monument to Selma Agić and Edita Malkoč unveiled
The second anniversary of the tragic death of UNSA Faculty of Philosophy students Selma Agić and Edita Malkoč was marked by unveiled in the Faculty’s courtyard yesterday.
“During previous two years, we did not just fight for our children, but for other children, so this never happen again. This monument is a reminder of what can happen when you are irresponsible and brute” said Amir Agić, late Selma Agić’s father.
Enesa Kekić, Edita Malkoč’s sister, thanked everyone who contributed in any way to the preserving memory of Edita Malkoč and Selma Agić.
UNSA Rector, Rifat Škrijelj said in his address that this memorial would be a warning both in Sarajevo and in other cities.
“Who can put value of Selma’s and Edita's life, and why is it so suddenly cut short? Is there justice in this world? If there is any place for such questions, then it is here - in front of the Faculty of Philosophy, a place where from the perspective of universal humanistic values we must face these issues” UNSA Faculty of Philosophy Dean, Muhamed Dželilović.
