The “WB2EU” consortium continues its activities after the end of the project
Although the Jeanne Monnet project “WB2EU” – “Western Balkans Vision 2030 – Europeanization meets democracy” officially ended in the fall of 2024, the consortium members, 17 very different institutions and organizations, from universities and think tanks to NGOs and policy analysis centers – from 16 different European countries, continued with some of the most important activities. As announced, the “WB2EU” network is dedicated to expert analysis and advocacy, but also to supporting the next generation of Europeans.
In September of this year, the third Summer School on Cres was held. The Faculty of Political Science of the University of Sarajevo was represented by students from the International Relations and Diplomacy program – Ismar Duraković and Faris Darman. More information about this year’s and previous youth meetings can be found at the following link: https://summerschool.oegfe.at/
The participants published a joint text this year as well. This powerful message about the future of Europe was published by the reputable portal European Western Balkans: https://europeanwesternbalkans.com/2024/11/18/a-liveable-europe-retrieving-the-hopes-of-the-youth/
Also, one of the participants from Italy, Bleona Shkulaku, wrote about our summer school in the Italian edition of Euractiv (“Euractiv Italia”). One can find the text at this link: https://euractiv.it/section/eu-link/news/cres-summer-school-2024/
