Cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and the Sarajevo Centar Municipality Red Cross

Social activism and knowledge of economic experts to social entrepreneurship

In Sarajevo, on 24 January 24, 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo and the Red Cross of the Sarajevo Center Municipality, which will contribute to the exchange of knowledge and experience, but also to joint participation in socially useful projects.

The cooperation is planned in several fields: internship program, guest lectures, trainings, research papers, and socially responsible business, aims to carry out educational activities that have a theoretical, practical and developmental dimension.

The benefit of this cooperation is not only the Red Cross, which will assist economic experts in establishing and developing self-sustaining projects, and the Faculty of Economics, which will gain access to new research partners, but also society as a whole, with further development knowledge and action, and social activism particularly relevant.

The Red Cross, as a humanitarian organization, has been active in Bosnia and Herzegovina for over 100 years. The Red Cross includes activities programs and projects in the field of social care, first aid, home care, care for the elderly, care for the disabled, etc.
