An interesting percussion concert as part of the online festival of the May Music Festival!
As part of the online May Music Festival, the University of Sarajevo Music Academy presents an interesting concert of percussion students, which in these pandemic times is adapted to the possibilities in which students have encountered. The biggest problem for the students was the instruments, so most of the works were performed on a small drum that students have at home, while some, taking into account distance measures and hygiene recommendations, managed to work in the classroom of the Music Academy.
Students Teo Udović, Emili Mišić, Filip Soldat, Roko Radunić and Marino Repanić from the class of professor Davor Maraus will present themselves at the concert. In addition to interesting works by composers Michael Colgrass, Emmanuel Séjourné, Mitch Markovich, performed by Teo Udovčić, Emili Mišić and Filip Soldat, the audience will have the opportunity to hear, and a duet of Steve Reich “Clapping Music” for which Emili Mišić and Marin Repanić needed only a little good will and palms that “applause” create a rhythm. Also, as part of the concert, you will hear a very demanding solo for a small drum called "3 - 13 - 07" by composer Casey Cangelosi, which Roko Radunić presents on the “practice pad” and ironing board.
