Academician Dejan Milošević on the list of 2% of the most important scientists in the world
Chairman of the Council for Science and Art of the University of Sarajevo, academician Prof. Dr. Dejan Milošević, a full professor at the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is included in the list of 2% of the most-cited scientists in the world.
It is a publicly available database with over 100,000 top researchers that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, adjusted hm-index by co-authorship, citations of papers in relation to the different role of authors and composite indicator. Data for the impact during the entire career, as well as the impact during one year are presented. Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 176 scientific branches.
The analysis is the work of a group of researchers from Stanford University, and was done according to the data available in Elsevier's citation and bibliographic database SCOPUS.
Prof. Milošević was included among the best scientists in two categories - the influence of scientists throughout his career, as well as the influence during 2020.
In addition to Academician Milošević, the list includes prominent members of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Prof. Dr. Kemal Hanjalić - member of the Council for Science and Art of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Asif Šabanović and Prof. Dr. Enver Zerem.
