Connecting students of the University of Boğaziçi and the University of Sarajevo

During their first visit to Sarajevo, students from Boğaziçi University (Turkey), led by Mr. Ibrahim Ethem Gören, Bosphorus Vakuf Board Director and Mr. Süleyman Gündüz, of the Cordoba Production Studio Representative, visited the University of Sarajevo on Wednesday, 18 April 2018, where they met with Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj and Vice-Rectors, Prof. Drs. Aida Hodžić and Dženana Husremović.
The meeting was organized on the initiative of the Boğaziçi University students, with the aim of connecting students of the University of Sarajevo and the Boğaziçi University, realization of social, cultural and scientific cooperation. Noting that within the Boğazişi University, student life is rich and diverse, with activities for almost all talents and interests, the students of this University expressed a desire to accommodate students of the University of Sarajevo, and considered possible forms of cooperation that could be achieved through exchange programs and work on joint projects.
During the meeting, the possibility of establishing an association of Bosnian and Turkish students were considered, as well as activities aiming at linking students of these two universities in which the University of Sarajevo Students’ Parliament will be involved, and expressed readiness for cooperating and supporting by the University of Sarajevo representatives.
