At the conference titled “Foreign Interference, NATO, and Disinformation: Strengthening Resilience in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” held on 20 December in Sarajevo, students from the Security Studies program specializing in Professional Practice 3 and 7, joined by Prof. Dr. Edin Bećirević and Senior Assistant Dr. Kenan Hodžić, were in attendance. The conference brought together members of the academic community and experts who discussed security threats, malign foreign influences, and disinformation undermining the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards the EU and NATO. This event provided an opportunity to present research on the phenomenon of foreign manipulation of information and interference, featured in the new publication “Democracy and Security.” The conference addressed pressing issues surrounding media manipulation, the impact of foreign propaganda, and the security perspectives of our country. Students had the chance to engage with critical topics regarding security threats, malign foreign influences, and disinformation, which represent a form of hybrid warfare that permeates both public and online spaces.
