Plaques of the Rector's Association/Rector's Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented to prominent professors

The second regular session of the Board of Rectors/Rectors' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of the University of Mostar's chairmanship of this highest coordinating body of public universities and universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina during 2026, was held in the SUMIT building on the Rodoč Campus.

Representatives of public universities and universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered to discuss current issues in the field of higher education, scientific research, international cooperation and further improvement of the quality of the academic system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of the session, awards and recognitions of the Rectors' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the form of Plaques were presented for exceptional contribution to the development of the university through outstanding work in the scientific, teaching and professional fields and for expanding the reputation of the university in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the world.

Recognitions in the form of plaques were presented posthumously to Prof. Dr. Sc. Halil Mehtić from the University of Zenica, Prof. Dr. Stevan Stević from the University of East Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Sc. Ahmed Džubur from the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, Prof. Dr. Dr. Dženana Husremović from the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Sc. Tomislav Volarić from the University of Mostar, Prof. Dr. Damir Hodžić from the University of Bihać and Prof. Dr. Dalibor Kesić from the University of Banja Luka.

The plaques were presented by the Chairman of the Rectors' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof. Dr. Sc. Ivo Čolak, rector of the University of Mostar.
