Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia and the University of Sarajevo Rector

H. E. Mr. Ekrem Ebibi, Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia visited the University of Sarajevo on 31 December 2020, where he met with the Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice-Rectors: Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, Prof. Dr. Mirza Dautbašić, Faculty of Philosophy Dean, Prof. Dr. Muhamed Dželilović, Doz. Dr. Amir Duranović, Vice Dean for Scientific Research, International Academic Cooperation and Publishing of the Faculty of Philosophy of UNSA, and Prof. Dr. Nedžad Korajlić, UNSA Center for Human Rights director.
The current and possible types of further cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia and the University of Sarajevo were discussed at the meeting, and interest in wider academic, scientific and cultural cooperation was expressed.
The importance of inter-university cooperation was emphasized, and during the talks on intensifying ties between the University of Sarajevo and universities in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, it was pointed out that the University of Sarajevo fosters cooperation with many higher education institutions around the world through various programs, projects, associations and bilateral cooperation and the cooperation with the St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and the St. Kliment Ohridski University in Bitola. The meeting was also an opportunity for talks on intensifying the existing cooperation, especially when it comes to improving the exchange of teachers, associates and students, but on achieving cooperation between the UNSA Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Philology of the St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
