Erasmus+ projects for the University of Sarajevo Faculty Professional Development Presented
The University of Sarajevo organized in the Senate Hall on 19 September 2024 an event dedicated to the presentation of key Erasmus+ projects aimed at improving the professional development of academic staff. The event brought together professors, researchers and administrative staff of the university to present the goals and results of projects that contribute to improving the quality of teaching and accreditation of study programs.
The program began with the welcome address by Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković, UNSA Vice-Rector for Quality.
The event weas focused on the Erasmus+ CBHE project MAGNET – “Managerial and Governance Enhancement through Teaching” presented by Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković. She emphasized the importance of the Office for Professional Development (Center for Teaching and Learning - CTL) in improving the study experience and raising the quality of education at the university.
In the presentation of Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, UNSA Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of the Office for Professional Development as a contribution to the strategic goal of improving the overall study experience, while Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković stressed the importance of these activities in the process of accreditation of study programs.
Those present had the opportunity to hear about the long-term contribution of the University of Sarajevo to the development of academic staff through training within the Digi.Edu and TRAIN projects presented by Prof. Dr. Amra Kapo and Prof. Dr. Sandra Bjelan.
During the event, two Erasmus+ projects aimed at modernizing the teaching process and academic staff competencies were presented: HomoDigitalis - “Bridging the Digital Humanities and Educational Media Divide in the West Balkans”, which supports the development of digital learning facilities and the introduction of digital techniques in teaching and research in humanities, which was presented by Prof. Dr. Selma Rizvić, and the project “Digital Education Readiness in the Field of Higher Education” (DERHE), which was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alen Mujčinović.
This event represents another step of the University of Sarajevo towards strengthening the capacity for professional development of academic staff, with the help of international partnerships and projects financed through the Erasmus+ program.
