E-CRIS (Current Research Information System in Bosnia and Herzegovina) is an information system on the research activity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been active since 2008. It includes data on Bosnian researchers, research, organizations and their groups, projects, programs, research results and data on the bibliographic units of the researcher.
After the mentioned presentation by Victoria Martinčević-Huseinčehajić, the presentation of Darinka Sjesko, representatives of the Institute for Information Sciences from Maribor followed.
The development of national information systems on research activities is an integral part of the information strategies of a particular country. The availability and transparency of information on research activities is a condition of transferring knowledge to the practice and improvement of innovation. It is indisputable that the most efficient way to lead the bibliographies of the researcher can only be established within cooperative library information systems. The connection between both systems is especially important for evaluating research results. The CRIS system has developed and maintained by the Institute for Information Sciences in Maribor (IZUM) and the Agency for Research Activity of the Republic of Slovenia (ARRS).
