The project of building and equipping the University Library - Meeting between the University of Sarajevo with the Saudi Fund for Development Delegation representatives

On 27 December 2022, a meeting of University of Sarajevo representatives with the Saudi Development Fund delegation was held in the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.

The meeting was attended in front of the University of Sarajevo by Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice-Rector for Finance, Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, project manager of the Unit for the Implementation of the Construction and Equipment Project of the University Library of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Adnan Pašić, director of the Directorate for Construction and Maintenance of the University of Sarajevo Campus, Lejla Hajro, secretary of the Unit for the Implementation of the Project for the Construction and Equipment of the University Library of the University of Sarajevo, Mirza Mehaković and representatives of the technical assistance team. Biljana Tabaković and Merima Šoljanin attended the meeting in front of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Saudi Development Fund delegation was represented by the director for Europe and Latin America, Bandar S. Alharbi, as the head of the mission, and Messrs. Abdulrahman Alsogheer and Anas Alshehri.

The meeting was held as part of the regular visits of the delegation of the Saudi Fund for Development to the projects they implement around the world.

Words of gratitude were conveyed to the representatives of the Fund, especially to Mr. Bandar, for their selfless and very energetic efforts in the realization of the Project for the construction and equipping of the University Library of the University of Sarajevo.

The Fund representatives are familiar with the current situation regarding the construction of the Library building. Since the tender for the selection of the contractor has been successfully completed, it is expected that the contract will be signed with the contractor and the foundation stone will be laid, which will be attended by the representatives of the University of Sarajevo and the Government of Sarajevo Canton, as well as the highest delegation of the Saudi Development Fund.
